Slammedenuff Gatlinburg, Tennessee 2022. We committed to Slammedenuff Gatlinburg for one of the biggest car shows in North America. Last year we had Violet around the same time, so this year, I promised my USA staff and internet friends that we would come to help run the booth and meet everyone. I shipped 10 boxes to them, and we made 200 show-exclusive shirts for the show. When it came to the show weekend, we took 4 check-in suitcases and stuffed them with 100 shirts each. All of our carry-ons were full of extra small goods and stickers. The flights to Gatlinburg were long, with a bunch of layovers. Calgary to Toronto, Toronto to Atlanta, Atlanta to Knoxville, Knoxville to Gatlinburg....

After months of planning, you can purchase So Scare Social Club apparel at CrossIron Mills in Calgary, AB (YYC). Sully’s Skate & Snow and Foundry have generously given me a corner and full window display at both locations in the mall. I’ve been working behind the scenes on this retail location for a few months, and it’s crazy to see it come to fruition. Happy to get into the retail side and push a physical presence at a busy shopping mall instead of online only. Hoping to get into other locations this year and see where this takes the brand name.

Happy four year anniversary! How has it already been 4 years of running this brand daily? I'm writing this in my guest bedroom, overflowing with apparel and slowly taking over my other spare bedroom. Maybe it's time for a warehouse and shop space. 2020 has been THE year for me personally and the brand. With Covid-19 happening, my day job sent me home to work remotely for 4 months from March to June. While working less than 4 hours a day, this gave me so much extra time to push the brand and give it the attention it needed. Once the Calgary lockdown was lifted in June, I was asked to return to the office. That night I emailed my...
I finally quit my day job to pursue So Scare Social Club full-time. Terrified but super excited simultaneously for this opportunity to turn a hobby into a career. After growing the brand for 3.5 years, I couldn’t balance 2 full-time jobs anymore while freelancing, re-selling hypebeast, and slowly starting a marketing agency with old co-workers. I want to thank anyone I’ve worked with for the last 6 years, especially my previous employer, for letting me work my side business during work hours and hosting my wedding there. 15,000+ orders and counting. Let’s see what’s next with this brand and becoming an entrepreneur.
